Antony Gormley is an artist recognized for his exploration into the relationships between the human body and time and space. What I find most interesting in his work is the subtle but distorted vision of a humanity presented through an abstract medium. In some of the works shown human figures are constructed vaguely enough through organized patterns as well as visually chaotic mediums. In the case of the work entitled the Angel of the North the size of the work seeks epic proportions that associate its title while contrasting the angelic presence through a very man made appearance.
